Our Family

Josh and I are high school sweethearts who met in American Sign Language class in April 2000.  We have been married nine years.  After our wedding in 2003, I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Human Development in 2005, and Josh received his Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 2010.

June 6, 2008 I gave birth to spontaneous identical twin boys, Logan Henry & Jack Sawyer. Right now the boys are into doing pre-school with mommy, wrestling with daddy & having outside adventures {weather permitting}. It is so much fun to watch their twin behavior & witness their bond firsthand.

We welcomed our third son, Wyatt Nathanial, into our family June 15th 2011.  He has mastered walking and has moved on to talking.  He knows many signs and words, and is learning more everyday.  He is growing so quickly, I am trying to cherish every moment.  I feel so blessed to be experiencing a singleton after the twins.

After spending our entire lives in Washington state, in 2012 we moved to bush Alaska.  We currently live in Marshall, a rural village of about 400 people along the Yukon River, east of the Bering Sea.

When Josh graduated from the teaching program at WSU, he was unable to find work in Washington, so he pursued a teaching position in the Lower Yukon School District, and two years later, here we are living on the tundra with our boys.  His finding a job meant I could quit mine, and finally be the stay-at-home-mom I've dreamed of being since I was a girl.  We are excited to be back in Marshall for a second year and can't wait for more exciting adventures to share with all of you.
